100th Blog Post

This is the 100th post on this blog!  I know there are only about three people who read this blog, but it is a milestone worth noting anyway.
100 posts – That is basically writing 100 essays, and essays and creative writing were certainly not my strong point growing up – I am a left brainer all the way.  So, this is an achievement!

I have had an awesome time exploring the beautiful Winelands right here on our doorstep, marvelling at the scenery and trying my very best to capture in photographs what can really only be appreciated by the naked eye.  I even use the blog sometimes to remind myself of which wines were favourites, which farms were child friendly for when the family come visit and which had the best views, service, restaurants or activities.

So, these are some of the highlights, favourite farms, winelands activities and photos posted over the last 100 blog entries, I hope you enjoy them, get a chance to get out to some of them and drop me a line with some recommendations….

A weekend in Robertson Valley with friends.
Delicious pizzas at the chic black and white styled Brenaissance and Sundowners on the lawn at Peter Falke.
A day around the Peninsula – true Cape Town tourist style.
Spectacular views at Uva Mira and Dieu Donne.
A birthday wine pairing.
Leopard’s Leap – A favourite, more relaxed Franschhoek spot.
The monthly Stellenbosch Street Soirees during the Summer months.
The smaller Wellington Fork & Cork Festival that showcased a number of very impressive wines at the beautiful Kleine Valleij.
Our favourite market at Windmeul and their reasonably priced and award-winning wines.
